I’m not sure what happened here but I’ve now said that vs
Navy Troy and la tech. I didn’t expect this at all though totally dominated

With this game behind us it will be nice to sit and watch the rest of CUSA tomorrow on the idiot box.

Bad loss. BUT...

Positives on defense. I expected them to do better than some others did, and they did. What I did not count on was our QB looking absolutely lost so many times.

Slightly better QB play alone and this is probably more like 35-24.

Needed better O-line play too. Still figuring some stuff out.

Offense let the team down tonight more than the defense tbh. We got some stops. Got some punts forced. Just didnt get a turnover, unfortunately.

BYU's QB just had one of the most efficient passing games of his career. 92% completion percentage. Also had the highest completion percentage in a game by any QB in BYU history throwing 25 or more passes.

But go ahead and tell me about your moral victories, because I'm sure you're going to... scoring your TD with under 5 minutes left, with your 1st string offense still in against BYU's 2nd/3rd string.... Or the garbage yards you finally got to rack up when BYU decided to call off the dogs in the 4th quarter... and still kept your 1st string in until BYU got that final interception with about 1 minute left!

No, they didn't. It was over at halftime. It was actually a bigger halftime deficit than when Troy played. BYU ran roughshod after the 1st quarter. They even put together a 5-play, 80 yard drive that took only a mere 37 seconds in the 2nd quarter.

Well Troy lost by 41 and Tech lost by 31 so I don't know what point you're trying to make saying that Troy did better. Once again this is the behavior of a Moderator folks. This guy is actually allowed to punish CUSA posters on a CUSA board. I guess he's friends with the Georgia Tech Mod that runs this site.

The facts don't agree with you. Tech scored more points vs BYU than Troy and Navy combined. BYU scored less points vs Tech than either Troy or Navy. Troy/LA Tech games compared...

That was ugly last night. While I didn't expect LT to be as good as last season, I really thought they'd put up a better fight. I hope LA Tech can regroup for conference play, or UAB will walk through the the western division.

FWIW, just because I'm a mod doesn't mean my right to talk smack or poke around is extinguished. And I also don't patrol the CUSA board. I don't even have mod power over here. I'm aware of the stats. I watched the game. Tech got smacked around fast than Troy did in that 1st Half.

Difference is Holtz literally left his 1st team offense in the entire game, up to the last minute. Troy and Navy had their 2nd string in in the 4th quarter, giving players some experience. I'm sure Troy could've racked up crap some yards too had we kept our 1st string in up to the last minute. I had a feeling you'd look to that stat as a moral victory.

And the Sunbelt trash is littering the board again. Get your cheap smack in girls.

To my fellow Tech fans...please, just stop it. I have watched all three of BYU's games this year, and I did not see any difference last night. They are legit good, and Navy, Troy and us were nothing but cannon fodder. Yes, it is true the average age of BYU's players is several years older than their opponents, but they are also really, really good.

Yep, with last year's defense, the one that shut out Miami, the game would have been very competitive last night. BYU probably would have toughed out a win, but it would have been a game. Well...such is the nature of CFB. Seniors move on...in our case, several to the NFL...and programs have to replace them. In 2020 we are who we are....not very good.

At least we wore our CUSA patch proudly and got smoked on national TV when playing a real opponent.

BYU is a very good team, their best in a few years. Tech will be fine. These games happen.

Well, that Big 12 crew really sucked. No, they did! Wouldn't have changed the W-L outcome, but would have made the game slightly less frustrating. Especially that line judge who would routinely mark the ball a couple of yards short for us.

No, seriously, the Big 12 embarrassed itself last night with that crew. Their supervisor of officials needs to have sit down with those clowns.
