That happened in the 2nd qrt. Player safety at some point instead of someone’s ego.

Hubris? Game is way out of reach. Kick the onside in 2 or 3rd qrtr. How would you feel if we kept our 1st team out there and were calling aggressive the whole game. You guys scored the garbage time td, great. You’ve been kicking deep the entire game. That was a pure ego move with the onside late.

You are being way too sensitive over it. And don’t give the injury crap as people can get injured on any play. The game was out of reach, but why not try something so you can look at it on tape later. It probably helps both teams in the long run.

Good Game. UCF looks to be the class of the league again.

Well I'd like to say good game but that's 4 hours of my life I won't get back, does every play have to be either a flag or reviewed? ECU is better than last year and you won the 4th quarter costing a lot of people I know $$$. Good luck the rest of the year.

Agreed ecu looked good at times. I was genuinely perplexed as to why Ahlers wasn’t taking off with it more. You guys had such great success with it early and then it stopped. If we weren’t your first game it’d have been closer. It looks as though there’s just a few pieces missing and then you’ll be rolling. It was a good game. Best of luck going forward.

UCF played like we had COVID for the first quarter and amassed 150 false starts and still had a 44-7 lead before we emptied the bench and got some guys PT.

All in all not bad. And I will give Randy Shannon credit- ECU has a really good offense but he’s slowed them two years in a row now.

Gabriel was 3 drops away from having about 475 yards passing and another 2-3 TDs

Good game UCF. You guys looked good except for the 77 penalties or whatever. Chalk that part up to Covid year. 04-cheers

On our end I thought the defense came out looking much better and the O was a disappointment. Like other teams, we've also had issues with practice and training pauses combined with so many young players, so I'm not ready to jump off the cliff just yet.

FWIW, we've got 58 FR and RSF on the roster. Coach Houston has a ways to go building a team after the despicable Compher/Mo experiment.

Why did UCF even run plays 2015? Take a knee four times and get off the field, for player safety of course....07-coffee3

i guess we're trying to save money or southwest charter flights are limited right now.

We bid the charters every year. We've used Allegiant before. We've also had AirTran, JetBlue, and Southwest. I think one year we also used one of the charter airlines based at MCO.

Not really much difference between Allegiant and Southwest in terms of player comfort on the flight. And things that matter to passengers don't really matter on a charter (buy-on-board vs free snacks, etc.).

Dude these are warriors who've spent months hitting sled, the weight room, and attacking each meal like it's their last. "Safety" would be not playing the game. The entire objective is to put as many points on the board as you can...something, something, ego driven competition...blah blah.

Are they flying out of Sanford instead of MCO? It is probably easier in and out and not too much difference in time to get there.

Sanford is much easier to get and out of. Sanford is like a mile closer and traffic is easier. On paper its similar but for those who live in Oviedo and travel its Sanford all the time.

what do you mean by that? if someone lives in oviedo and travels all the time, i doubt it's only on airlines like allegiant. OIA is more crowded for a reason.

Regardless of airline, a flight from Sanford will be easier in/out and home. I said Oviedo bc I used to live there and it's close to UCF. The traffic going to Sanford is much less congested. If you have a choice btw the two, you fly out of Sanford.
