At a pissed off SMU who is looking for payback. With many of our stars missing and no practice. Going into what was going to be the toughest portion of our schedule even before all this happened.

swapping UT-Martin for SFA is fine. Should be an easy W.

-We don’t really need the extra win of playing an FCS school— who knows if we’ll have a bowl season and we also shouldn’t be hovering near .500

-We aren’t really generating any turnstyle revenue with the attendance caps of COVID

-We are likely paying them. And the logistical issues due to COVID 19 are complicated and expensive

-This creates an extra and needless opportunity for exposing our players to COVID (and also to injury)

-It dilutes an already weak SOS. And being later in the year, gives sports pundits a talking point of why we may not be worthy of an access bowl spot (if bowls happen)

- there will be bowls and records will be thrown out the window...this is the kind of season where participation trophy's WILL be given out and I'm good with that as 2020 has sucked. That said we traded one FCS for another...so nothing changed there. again, I don't see the issue.

- every home game, and every ticket sold is another dollar the athletic dept isn't losing...

- likely playing who? UTSA? the game was cancelled, not postponed.

- If COVID hasn't calmed down by the end of Nov the SFA game may get cancelled as well...nothing is promised this year. 2 months is a long time here in 2020.

- our SOS means diddly squat now that the B1G and PAC-12 are going to play...Memphis will never be allowed into a playoff if the all the P5 are there. besides, losing Purdue hurt the SOS...losing UTSA doesn't mean anything.

Lotta armchair ADs in this, the most stressful and difficult of seasons.
