Excuse Dawgxas, it's his schtick.
What was the deal with UAB players fighting each other on the sidelines in the Miami game? Talk about making the conference look bad.

I didn't watch the game. I didn't even listen to the game so I wasn't aware of that happening and no one has really talked about it on BlazerTalk. Was there fistacups thrown or just arguing?

They didn't show what happened. The sideline reporter stated that some of the players were fighting each other. It happened later in the game. Not sure how bad it was, maybe the sideline reporter was overreacting.

I'm sure if it was something serious it would have been some discussion about it on BT. Probably just players being frustrated and venting on one another.

Just went backed and looked at the replay of the game. At 2:13:09 in the game the sideline reporter stated: "Players are starting to exchange words with each other, I saw a couple of fights break out".
Probably nothing but some players being frustrated and letting off steam.

It’s not just the ranking, which is huge, but it’s the national exposure, rave reviews, and fantastic PR from the game as well as the great season last year.
All the while your team stayed home, in what was most definitely not a good look.

Seeing 2 SB teams ranked is exactly why it’s so important to play and do well this season. This opportunity to make noise and build exposure as well as credibility won’t come again. CMon CUSA brethren, make some noise. I wish we were out there with you. ( but we were looking at a weak year this season anyway)

Our team had a Covid outbreak because of the hurricane. Something that was out of our control. Get lost from this board with your trolling.

All schools are fighting the Covid issue, and Lafayette had the same hurricane hit. Plus they had the sudden death of a beloved and very talented coach they had to deal with.
But you right, I’ve said enough here and made my points so will leave here now.

Did Lafayette lose electricity for up to a week?

Well, since you asked, yes, parts of the city did. But apparently we have better infrastructure so it was not catastrophic.
But even if it would’ve happened, I’m sure our AD, coach and admin would’ve taken the necessary steps to ensure that the prob was not compounded by an outbreak of Covid. Like they’ve done since the outbreak.
Do you think your AD, coach and admin handled the issue correctly?
Cajuns Covid free before the ISU game:

Good grief, give it a break. Knocking ULL for beating a P5 on the road...really? So what if ISU is not truly a Top 25 team, and we don't know that just yet anyway. It was still a quality road W. Holtz has never beaten a P5 on the road at Tech. He SHOULD have won about a half-dozen or so, but hasn't. And it's not like the Cajuns won on a fluke tipped pass...they dominated ISU in the 2nd half. It is a very good win, period.
We have our own issues to worry about...new QB and a new defense. Two very critical areas, to say the least.

FAU has defeated ONE P5 team in our entire (admittedly) short history, the 1-11 Minnesota in 2007.

Gotta be elated for the Sun Belt teams that swept the B12. Of course, as the weeks go by, don't think for a minute the Cartel Groupies in the Media won't spin it as meaning that the B12 SUCKS BAD! Very unlikely, we see a lot of Kudos for Arky State, Louisiana Lafayette, or Coastal Carolina beyond this week.

Thank you for this.

Not so sure this get's little attention for a spell: https://redirect.viglink.com/?format=go&...5779432002
The sweep will have implications for the remainder of the season. May work more in the G5s favor who knows could be CUSAs than the Sun Belts but it is what it is. This is an opportunity more likely for the AAC unfortunately later in the season. The exposure over the previous two weeks has been outstanding for the Sun Belt though.

If any of you really think these wins by Sunbelt have any real implications on the playoff spot then you really don't know the NCAA crooks. They will come up with all kinda of **** if they have to deny any and all attention to G5 and that is a fact. Too early in the season to make anything out of these wins but you have to applaud what they have done in the very least.

Sorry. Just works in the favor of the SEC and ACC. One of them will be assured to get two spots in the playoff even if a G5 runs the table. This is the way.
