Exclamation Troy Has Found It's Next Signal Caller
Troy has named it's next prime time quarterback. Gunnar Watson is QB1.

He reminds me of Brandon Silvers, very comparable IMO.

For him to have been named QB1 this quickly makes me think he was pretty far ahead of the pack?

Lindsey made it seem like the competition between #1 and #2 would take another week... or at least it sounded that way to me.

I doubt we name a starter until we line up in Memphis in 2 weeks. We've got 2 capable starters, and may end up letting both play significant minutes.

Not a huge fan of a two QB system.

Hatcher threw 4 INTs in scrimmage today. It was his job to lose. I think he did. Troy could be tough with a great QB. Hope he works out for you guys.

Hatcher's job to lose my ass. . . . Bonner is stAte's starting QB.

This is probably the best offensive set of talent we've had since 2009. Stacked everywhere. Only question is experience at QB and how the o-line does one year removed from Matt Moore's coaching.

My guess is we will push the rush game more and if successful, will give Hatcher an opportunity to play more. When we go more passing, I expect to see more of Bonner. My guess.

The O-line lacks some experience though and OL experience is more important than talent. Same regarding QB, Watson is young and it might take a few games (probably more than just a few games) for him to get comfortable. I predict a 0-2 start, and a 7-5 type of season.

Not really comfortable predicting either way. ULM is breaking in a new quarterback as well, and MTSU is was a terrible team last season. We got a shot.

Wondering about our D...Obviously, it can't get much worse than last year. So I guess the question is how much did we improve...

I think there are some reasons to suspect it could be better. There are more bodies and more experience on defense this time around. The new strength coach by all accounts is a complete 180 of what we had last season. Based on those alone, I think we could be at least marginally better.
