There was a lot of national sympathy for MAC schools when the B1G pulled the money-maker plug on those games.
The column is not without its merits. Although cynically, it feels like it was designed to come to the B1G's rescue, to paint the MAC as lax and unfit to play on a football field (and therefore rationalize the cancelled games).
Not that it'll matter in the end as the whole season is probably toast.
