Looks like we won't be playing at Purdue this year.

if the season is played and all teams only play conference games, we run our conference minimum we are in ny day bowl game if not playoff

At this point, I don't either and losing a football season is going to financially cripple a lot of schools.

You’re f’n high if you think a G5 school will make a 4 team CFP, maybe when it expands to 8 but certainly not 4

At this point best case scenario is a spring football season I'm afraid.

The NFL will likely play in the fall
We will know soon if NBA, NHL and MLB will work
French and US Open Tennis in fall

Maybe their athletic departments. The only schools that rely on sports to fund their real academic mission are some of the buy game schools.

For most universities it would be a financial positive if they dropped out of D1 sports altogether

So IF there is a season and the B10 is the only conference that does the conference only model (likely won't be), who/how does Memphis replace Purdue on the schedule? Find another team that was scheduled to play a B10 team that same weekend? Find a regional opponent?

Looks like the ACC will follow.

Depends on if Memphis is going to get the money from Purdue ($750,000). If they do, then I'd imagine Memphis could go to a G5 opponent to replace Purdue. If they don't, then Memphis could play Notre Dame and get that money. Why Notre Dame? Because if the ACC follows the BIG Ten and play "conference games only" then Notre Dame will lose 6 games.

PAC-12 looks like it may as well. Big-12 and AAC still no plans.

and all conferences are geographically sensible comprised of like-minded institutions (hat tip to the late, great GA) so that you won't have to travel multiple states or across time zones to play conference games

He said an NY6 game, like the Cotton Bowl last year, NOT a CFP game.

More likely that they are just doing the minimum ensure they get their TV money.

It’ll be interesting to see how many are able to get out of paying non-conference guarantees. I’d imagine there will be lots of settlements that will include partial payments, installment payments, and future game guarantees. All of which will be very painful for non-power schools.
