Yes, that's what he will do but it doesn't appear he qualifies for the G league elite

What?

Does that mean he aint going to college...Otherwise it makes no sense.

He should go ahead and go to the G-League.

Um...Howard is a college....like Lemoyne Owen in Memphis is a college.

He is making the personal statement to support historically black colleges.

Personally, I don't see how it will help his professional aspirations in any way, but, in this day and time, he wants to make a statement. So be it...

If you are good enough, it does not matter which college you attend (Steph Curry, Dame, CJ, Ja, and Scottie Pippen to name a few) especially if they make the tournament and he does his thing.

I understand Howard is a college...

But an NBA prospect would be doing himself a disservice by going to Howard.

I think him committing to Howard is a goodwill statement to give them press, but he is planning on going G-League.

If you're good, you can play for a church league in a remote village of Indonesia and NBA scouts will find you.

Here’s the thing. That’s the same thing P5 coaches tell HS FB players who are considering going to Memphis. “If your trying to go pro why would you go to Memphis over Alabama” Truth is neither the NBA or NFL teams care where you play your college ball.

RE: Makur Maker
Did someone really put Howard down on the same level as Lemoyne-Owen? LOL

First off, it's Howard University. Not Howard College. It is also considered part of the black ivy league. It's a fringe top 100 university according to US New and World Report and ranked ahead of many P5 schools and well ahead of Memphis (ranked at 272). It's also a D1 school.

As someone else said, the pros don't care that much about where you went to school if you got talent.

This is most likely the scenario. Give Howard some good press and then head off to the G League.
