Surprised no one has suggested the champions of the west. Created so long ago that Michigan was actually considered a 'western' school & the BIG 10 itself was the Western Conference.
I announced local youth games for years in Illinois. I needed a fight song to play when our home team scored. I wanted a quick fight song that most people would not associate with Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern, etc.. I picked Wake Forest's fight song. I really enjoy this song.

My whole family is from Chicago. (Schaumburg, Palatine, Algonquin, Hoffman Estates). My sister and her husband go to all the Illini games.

Our youth football program plays in each of those areas. We play in an old high school stadium that has a press box and audio equipment. It isn't too difficult to keep the games moving with fight songs after scoring and some pop songs during the breaks.
I used this sound effect often, too.
