What a bummer!

This I don't understand. They had everyone already there. No fans. Limited media. The guys were warming up for the first game and then cancel? Would have been more prudent if the decision were made a few days ago if they were going to make it.

So they decided to take the next step after the games were supposed to be played in front of no fans? How sad for the players who worked so hard for this all year.

Well, congrats to Akron on winning the championship although it is looking doubtful there will be an NCAA tournament.

Congrats to Eugene German for a fantastic Huskie career, and best of luck in his future endeavors and working towards his dream of playing in the NBA.

I'm sure they have tiebreakers lined up as well, but it's irrelevant since the tourney is almost guaranteed to be cancelled now

Primary concern (as it should be) is to limit spread of the virus. Somewhere back behind that is to limit cost. With no fans, revenues down.

Jay Bilas on ESPN at the ACC tournament just said it’s false to believe that all the players wanted to play he said many did not. Many players just wanted to be with their families and go home.

Well I figure it’s a guarantee the ncaa tournament is cancelled with all the conferences canceling.

Feel so bad for the team and specifically German.

Ditto, the one thing that makes up for it a little is that I dont believe there was a great chance for NIU to.win this tourney. They went out co.division champs at least. The bad taste of last game vs BSU is a little bit of downer though

I heard that all these cancellations will affect our vendors, too, and that we can expect a shortage of hot dogs during the next football and basketball seasons.

If we are to believe Madddawgz medical expertise, after all he is a MD, and folks 70 and older are going down from Corona, half the Dogpound is done for. Who's gonna be left to complain about SeatGeek, Maction, Frazier and hotdogs?
