What do you guys feel is more likely the MAC cancelling the tournament altogether or playing it without fans? Personally, I think they will have it with fans or cancel it.

It will be played without fans, expecting MAC leadership to stand up for what's right in this case is to much to expect since it cant even stand up to ESPN

They need to just make a decision in the next hour or two. The flu is always going to be around, it will still exist on Thursday and the Thursday in March of 2021

They are. They're coordinating with the schools last I heard, and will announce something shortly.

They're likely to play with only immediate family members of players/coaches.

And this is not the flu. 01-wingedeagle

What i dont get why is not all air travel halted, why are schools and college classes still being held, why are there primaries occurring tonight where people are using same booths to vote in, why are movie theaters not closed?

It's all evolving minute by minute. IU is going to online classes only through April 6. Ohio State, I believe is doing the same. Heard Harvard wants students to move out in 5 days.

This thing is new, and they're still learning about it.

What a joke, and we are learning about this from a politically driven media, that is the problem.

Only 5% of the people infected have not recovered ... Most of the 5% were already ill ... and over the age of 65.

Calm down, people. If you are sick ... STAY HOME. If not, enjoy the games.

RE: 2020 MAC Men’s Basketball Tournament
My co-worker's daughter is a freshmen at Akron. She received word this afternoon that they will no longer be having face to face classes and teachers are to prepare for teaching online beginning when spring breaks ends at the beginning of April. Apparently, they are following in the footsteps of Kent State and Ohio State which are also moving everything online.

It just doesn't feel right playing the MAC Tournament without any fans and EMU didn't even make it to Cleveland. This was their moment to shine.

Right now, outdoor events can continue. #COVID19

When I originally read the tweet, I interpreted the “asking for” as a mandate. I think a lot of people made the same mistake.

No! THE problem is that we are NOT learning it from our own government! This leaves the media to try and fill in the gaps.

One slight problem with this. If I heard correctly, you can be a carrier of the virus for several days and not be showing any symptoms or even know that you are carrying it. So even though you're a healthy person who might easily fend off the virus and be just fine, you could infect a compromised person.
