There's a man in Houston who was born on Feb. 29, 1920 turning 100 today. Or is it 25? Anyway, he's in great shape for his age (actually not that great if he's only 25, but great if he's 100!). The Houston Chronicle had a nice feature on him.

There is also a woman in Bowling Green who was born on Feb. 29th, 1920 turning 100 today. The Bowling Green Daily News had a front page feature about her. Happy Leap Year!

I wonder if there has ever been a Leap Family... A guy born on February 29th marries a lady who also happens to be born on that date, and they then have a kid who is born on February 29th. Probably not. Also wonder what the odds are.

Pretty dang good considering that who you marry and when you have kids is somewhat under your control.

However, if all those factors were, as we say “stochastically independent”, you would expect only about 1 in every 3 billion kids to be on leap day to parents both born on leap day.

(1 in 3,118,535,000 or so)
