Spring Practice 2020
Know I'm jumping the gun, but spring practice is only a few weeks away. Spring game April 18th.
What will people be looking for?

It should be interesting to see how Stevie plays after moving back to QB. A fresh start could just be what he needs. I was told multiple times last season that he was the best QB on the roster. I still expect Hayden to start but maybe Stevie surprises us all.

I'm also excited to see the TEs get involved in the passing game.

The admin listened and made a change. I hope the football fans on this board make it to this to show support for the change, the new staff and the players.

My main concern is still offensive line blocking.

RE: Spring Practice 2020
In terms of returning players, we might have more returners at OL than any other position. Obviously QB is the most important position and we will not improved until a QB steps up. We saw last year what happens when you have bad QB play.

WR will bring back a lot of returners as well and I pray that Kumah comes back. That would make the WR core at least solid. Some young guys got experience and hopefully they are ready to contribute.

Also RB is a huge concern. There just isn't a lot of bodies.

Quality needed here for offensive linemen over quantity.

Even without an influx of talent I believe the OL will be better just with new coaching and new schemes. I think the OL underperformed last year. With the new staff, if they don't perform they'll be shown the door. They won't keep dead weight on scholarship. At least with the hold over players. The sooner they can turn the scholarships over to better players the better.

You do realize that our OL was not talented at all. One of the best we had continually got beat off the ball and couldn't sustain a block. They will keep dead weight on scholarship when we don't have #s and or multiple recruits/transfers. We will be LUCKY to be the same on the OL this coming year. The only hope is this off season they understood how bad they were last year and have put in a huge amount of strength and foot speed work along with losing fat. I would rather have an Athletic 275 -285 OL vs a slow and fat 300-315Lb OL.

People will complain about the OL every year. It's gone back 10 years now.

Some more than others...

The dead wood is already being trimmed (not specifically aimed at OL).

And I agree that regardless of talent level, the OL will improve over last year with simply new coaches and schemes. One shouldn't need to look far to find proof that this is possible.

There is some talent.....but very young last year. The biggest concern would be guard though.

And I’m confident our win total will improve04-cheers Anything less than four wins next year and my crew is done with season tixs.

What if it is 3 and one win is over Virginia or Wake? I am hoping for 5 and if an upset of either one of the two mentioned could make it 6 I would be most excited.

In looking at Kumah’s twitter feed there is every reason to believe he will be back.

What if our only wins are Virginia AND Wake?

What if we tie in all 12 games?

Do you realize that is like 3 times the total ties in all Div 1A and 1AA last year?

If we only win one game and it’s against those uva pricks, then we will renew. Wahoowa.
