USC fans are not happy with PAC-12
What the hell are they going to do though? They can't exactly hold the Pac-12 ransom like Boise does to the MWC.
Is it worth it for the B12, or them, to join forces? Would be kind of funny if Colorado left the B12 for the PAC, just to have the biggest football brand in the conference leave for the B12 a decade later. Then again, perhaps the B12 would try and poach both Colorado and USC?
Ultimately I think nothing happens, but it is interesting that they believe they can get more TV money, and how they'll go about doing it.

Texas has been eyeing the Arizona schools for years.

Yea, thought I remembered hearing something about the B12 wanting to expand west. Kind of reinforces the original point I made; there isn't much USC can do IMO

I have some connection to the PAC 12 thru friends. While they aren't big money people they know people who are. The big money schools like USC aren't happy at all about the Indiana's and Miss St of the worlds making more money than USC and their numerous national titles.
There are talks (who knows if it ever comes about) of the top 20-25 type schools forming a loose alliance and doing their own TV contract. Playing a good schedule of former P5 teams and a few "marquee" games against each other for TV. Not saying its gonna happen, but it is at least being discussed behind closed doors.

PAC and Big Ten have been talking about forming some kind of an alliance for a while now.

This actually crossed my mind after I wrote my initial post. I remember reading Amazon was interested in purchasing the rights of the top 25-40 teams and making their own juggernaut of a league. Perhaps it is more likely to happen than many realize. Stories like this one certainly make me think it is

This would be 20-25 of the USC, Alabama, OSU, Michgan, Texas, Oklahoma etc in a loose conference/TV deal. Cut the dead weight of the Washington St, Iowa St etc.

They need to get better time slots. An overwhelming majority of the CFB audience is in the eastern and central time zones. Hardly anyone is watching 10 pm kickoff games.

USC will be Bigger than ND (Money wise) as an Indy, Texas will be the most powerful Indy if it ever decided to go that rout.
Didn't even think about the possibility of them going Indy, great point

I stand by my prediction that the Big XII will poach the Pac-12 for the Arizona Twins or Utah & Colorado if not all 4.
Yes, because the Arizona Schools want to double their travel costs, fly Women's volleyball to Morgantown , get the prime recruiting hotspots of Ames, Manhattan, Stillwater and Lubbock and give up two close games in LA, two reasonable trips to the tiny Bay Area, and pass up Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake and Denver.

Not to mention Colorado left the Big 12 to go to the Pac 12 not even 9 years ago.
