RE: WBB vs BSU Game Thread
I’ll even admit that Beacham should’ve been put on the line at the end

Santucci a big night, passing 1000 points. She had 16 points, 9 boards, 3 assists 1 block, took 4 charges, and made at least a half-dozen other big defensive plays.
Unfortunately, everyone else ... meh.
Rockets shot 31% and had 22 turnovers. With those stats, BSU should have won by 20.
BSU had 21 turnovers, shot 13% from 3, and was 48% as a team from the line. With stats like that, UT should have won by 20.

Standings currently have Ball State as the third best team. Sure didn't look like it tonight. If they are third best it is a weaker league than usual this year.

Santucci needed to touch the ball when we were trying to tie the score with 15 seconds or so left. Wiard drove, passed in the corner to Black, who got it to Davis, who panicked and threw up a heavily contested three with about six seconds still left when she took the shot. Very ugly game. The Rockets hung tough against what is likely to end up being the third place team in the conference. Ball State plays good defense, but I'm not sure that is enough to explain how bad we looked.

The five top players from the Rockets' NCAA tournament team all scored 1,000 points in their careers - Monakana, Bravo-Harriot, McIntyre, Boyd, and Santucci.

Of the top 25 scorers in the MAC, one is from Toledo. There are plenty of freshmen and sophomores on that list. Although I think the last two recruiting classes show hope, probably because of assistant Mark Stephens, none have shown the ability consistently score. UT shot 31% against Ball State last night.

Wiard was the only freshman who was a factor last night. Lockett was remarkably quiet while Morgan-Elliott and Barnes made only fleeting appearances.

According to the BSU paper, the technical at the start of the game was because Brown's jersey was left in her hotel room, and so the lineup was wrong at the start.

I noticed that a player had a different number than on the program but it wasn’t Brown. IIRC, it was #24.
