??? Romney may be a "Republican" but he is not a Conservative...at least by my standards. How is that team over country?

I didn't agree with McCain...nor Romney...and while I supported "W" with votes, I was not thrilled with some of his "Big Government" moves.

The comment was about party. Republican is the party, not conservative.

No duh! How is casting Romney aside actually team over country? Please explain your comment.

He chose his duty to God, Constitution and Country, and they want to throw him out of the party. Simple.

He's a Senator not a soldier.. Geez. When people see RINOs, we would prefer to have them in the party they belong to. And Romney is basically a RINO.

No need to throw him out of the party, IMO. There are other non Clinton like ways to deal with this type of thing.

LOL. A leftist identifying duty to God, constitution, and country?? For the most part they deny that God exists, try to rewrite the constitution or claim it is out dated, and do their best put other countries interest above that of the United States.

Cut him some slack. Been a tough week - Iowa, SOTU, acquittal in their sham impeachment. If the Dems were a baseball team, that's like getting swept 3 straight days by being no-hit. Trump is trouncing them

Because he didn’t do any of that. He chose to nurse his petty grudge. Worse yet, setting a new low, Romney tried to dress up his petty vindictive grudge as religious duty in a transparent effort to make his trashy move look honorable. Nobody is really buying that the strident Never Trumper is doing this in the name of God and Country. He’s mad that the outsider did what Romney couldn’t.

It is what it is. Before the trial even started, there is a reason the conventional wisdom was Romney would probably vote to guilty. That belief never had anything to do with the case, the evidence, or because he was religious. The reason was based on Romney’s long time Never Trumper stance.

Not a democrat, couldn't care less about Iowa, rarely watch the SOTU as they're nothing but partisan nonsense mostly...especially with the current clown, and the impeachment was a foregone conclusion from the onset.

But don't let that stop you from thinking I'm cowering in a corner in fear of something. 03-lol

He chose his duty to God, Constitution and Country, and they want to throw him out of the party. Simple.

He is part of the reason that I left "the party". I can't stand his version of "conservatism" and when the Republican party moved to McCain and then Romney...I wanted nothing to do with "the party".

That aside, there was nothing presented that showed Trump guilty of an impeachable offense, but Romney went ahead and voted for guilty...so screw him. He was wrong and was just trying to thumb Trump in the eye in a loser of a vote.
