There's a big difference between being a player and a coach.
A biiiiiiiiiig difference.
You do realize his coaching background? Or do I have to spell that out for you?
Not a friendly way to introduce yourself to the AAC Board.
What... High school? AAU?
I'm sorry, are new guys supposed to get your approval or something?
I think the facts speak for themselves. Penny aint done jack as a coach yet.
State Championships isn't Jack? He hasn't paid his dues on multiple levels to coach at this level? Where do you cockroaches come from?
This conversation is interesting to watch.
Original statement: Penny is learning that college isn't all about recruiting
Retort: he played in college so he knows college
Follow-up: Playing and coaching are very different
Then:
Statement: He's coached before
Retort: But not in college (underlying statement: which is a different beast than where he has coached before)
I mean really, this whole thing is "He's learning how to be a college coach" - and with it being his first couple of years coaching college, which again, is very different than other levels in the sport, is a very fair statement.
You love Memphis and the world gets that...it's impossible to not get that with it being your username and all. But you're also jumping to conclusions and being overly sensitive to statements about your coach. Memphis is underachieving this year based on the talent they have, and I think you can agree with that. You have a first time college level head coach, and he needs to adjust to that role more.
How is any of that an unfair assessment of the current situation?
