Interesting matchup of strength on strength. Offensively I think it's a really difficult matchup for UC. On defense Penny really has gotten them to buy in. They are 19th in kenpom adj defense. They block a ton of shots and don't let teams score around the rim (Which is what UC does best, so strength on strength). Their first in defensive 2pt % and 2nd in block %. You would think UC would have to make some threes to win. However, though UConn (another great shot block team) blocked a lot of UC shots, UC still managed to score inside and Vogt was still a force. I don't expect UC to shy away from their normal style of attacking the rim.

Memphis wants to run. They don't move the ball a ton. They take quick shots (6th nationally in Off tempo). They are the rare team that turns it over more than UC. I think their quick shot offense plays into UC's hands as teams have had more success against our defense when they take their time, move the ball and attack our wings off the dribble. Memphis is only 107 in kenpom adj off eff.

This is a tough one for Memphis. Cumberland could easily go for 30, I've seen it too many times before.
