Well the Iranian government has accepted and announced that they shot down the plane. And the vast majority of the passengers were Iranian.

So in response to having their dirtbag droned, they blow up some sand, then kill a planeful of their own citizens.

I can see why the citizens are kind of on the warpath.

This coming right on the heels of other very major demonstrations 3 months ago or so.
