I don’t have a problem with that. We hit only 8 of those 29 (27.6%). Make a couple more (10/29) and good chance we win this game.

I didn’t watch but I was told we had a ton of open looks, too.

Hope we keep jackin’ up the threes. Once they start falling, we’ll win some more games.

Looked at the stats again, shooting percentage was mirror image for both teams (40% FG, 27% 3pt).
Biggest difference was WKU hit 9 more FT (14/15 vs 5/8)

Some really good games going on right now. UAB/ODU and UTSA/FIU are both really close down the stretch.

That’s Stansbury’s philosophy. He wants us to make more than the other team takes. And it happens often. It’s actually somewhat by design. We go inside a lot and drive a lot. Josh Anderson is a foul magnet. Nobody in this conference can stay in front of him. Only problem is he doesn’t drive often enough and especially difficult against the zone Rice played the majority of the game.

On the defensive side Stans doesn’t want our players to foul and we have some that are oh so happy to oblige. It seems like Stans would rather have our guys watch a layup rather than knock the piss out of the guy and make him hit free throws.

We have a couple that just let anyone go. They almost hold their arms out and point to the basket and say “this way kind sir”.

If UAB could make a free throw down the stretch they might beat ODU. I think they missed four straight free throws within the last 3:00 minutes.
Make that 6 straight free throws.

UTSA and FIU are going to overtime. FIU down by 2 gets a turnover on the inbound pass and hits a bank two point shot to tie the game. Crazy game!

To end the first week of conference play Tech and UNT are the only two teams to win a road conference game. Conference play is going to be tough this year.

Really not trolling at all asking an honest question. What do you guys think of your program right now? That did not seem like a UAB team to me. You guys have had our number over the years.

Honestly I wasn't impressed with the little guard at all, and I didn't understand you all's rotations. I thought #12 was a tough matchup for us, and he didn't play as much as his smaller counterparts in the post.

The program is in the worst shape it has ever been IMHO. Worst shape we've ever been attendance wise. Losing to some really bad teams, though we werent great under Haase either. Ehsan dismissed our 2018-2019 all conference player in Zack Bryant early on in the year and our offense has just been atrocious all year. It seems like every time we dismiss a player or a player transfers out they go on to put up career numbers at another school. We've just in general had a lot of player turnover under Ehsan...which doesn't make sense since he was hired to maintain what Haase had going. We've never had a coach not make the NCAA tournament, but it seems like this is going to be the first one.

Jalen Benjamin (the little guard) has been playing with a back injury for multiple games now, but he's been pretty good this year considering he is a freshman.

To be honest I just think our coach is mediocre to bad. Hoping we fire him by the end of the year and go out and make a splash hire, though I don't know if that will happen.

In general there is a lot of apathy with the MBB program right now and major changes need to be made to be relevant again.
