Looks like we are trying to give away one to the Cajuns.

We escape the dome 60-57. Any time we beat the Cajuns is a good day.

We've had at least a 14 point lead in all 3 games so far and lost all 3. That's pretty impressive.

You guys looked like the better team, jumping to a 15 point lead late in the first half. We pulled even, but then you had a 5 point lead and we lost the league's leading scorer to fouls. Thought we were toast, but again our injury depleted team found a way to win. If we get some guys back- we are missing 3 guys who were supposed to be starters at the beginning of the year- we could be really good. I don't think there is any guarantee the missing players will get their starting jobs back but, at worst, we will have some real quality depth. We are not getting any good info about our injured players, but Nikola Maric has 2 more games to sit out due to an NCAA suspension.

We played our worst game since early November today. Couldn’t buy a bucket and UTA couldn’t miss

Played terrible and had a chance late. Missed several bunnies and FT shooting leaves a lot to be desired. But we compete and scrap and find ways, which is better than before.

Biggest play was the missed layup right at the end of the game that would have made it a 2 point game with a minute or so in the game.

With the one sitting out with injury and the PG that was injured in the fall tonight (one of our two regular players from last year) we are now down to 8 scholarship players with five out with season ending injuries. It could be a long year.

You're right. We're usually not that good, and certainly, stAte is not that bad.

Now, we're trying to figure out who Steelman is. This walk-on kid who had not played much in '19 earned a double double and led UTA in scoring. Narcis had a nice game as well.

It could be an interesting game in Little Rock on Saturday.

D1CoachCorner.com website picked Little Rock 8th (higher than most) and listed the following starting line-up:

Projected Starting 5:

Markquis Nowell PG
Marko Lukić SG
Horace Wyatt Jr. SF
Nikola Maric PF
Kris Bankston PF

Only Markquis has seen the floor so far this year. The NCAA has supposedly cleared Maric and Lukic to play starting Jan. 9th. The status of Bankston (supposedly has back problems) is still unclear. Wyatt is reportedly redshirting. So we are quite pleased with our 3-0 start.
(Correction- Bankston did play in a small number of early season games before getting hurt).

We were so bad yesterday a collection of guys from this message board could have beaten us. Balado laid into the team after the game.

ULM beats USA 69-49 and Ertel has 11 3-pointers and 39 points. Heck of a show today. Even crazier is ULM didn’t attempt ONE free throw!

You can't blame the refs. South players were never close enough to your players to foul. Not bad defense, NO defense.

Bobcat with a 3 point win over Red Woof, 70-67 Final.

Finally, a conference win, a rare road win . . . nothing coming easy this season ..

And we were picked to compete for the conference. We lost to Auburn by 1, and we were up with 2 seconds to go.......now look at us.....just not good...... 03-banghead
