I just don't see this team ever being consistent offensively. When the offense is on they'll be hard to beat, but I fear those instances will be few and far between.

Also, I seem to recall a couple of games ago HCRE saying Benjamin was hurt. Based on how he was holding himself during the game I'd say its a groin(or maybe it was a signal to officials or someone else).

Benjamin has been fighting lower back problems since Memphis.

UAB played best tonight with Ralat at the point. Benjamin kept falling down dribbling and team played keep away from Lovan when Ralat out of the game. UAB stepped out of bounds frequently on passes into the corners too.

Benjamin had his worst game yet. Wonder if he was jazzed up playing in front of his home crowd? Or, as others have mentioned, his injury is flaring up. But also just saw that he went to high school in Atlanta. Interesting that he'd list Raleigh as his home town.

Anecdotally, the stepping out of bounds thing seems to be an issue for everyone. The 3pt line moving back has really trimmed that part of the court. Not an excuse since we're in January, but UAB is far from the only team to struggle with that this year.

Its more of a tragedy than an anecdote.

I'm sure I'm not alone on this. I watch A LOT of men's college basketball outside of attending every single UAB home game.

Playing on the wing and receiving the ball while standing on the sideline happens. Its very rare. We seem to do it at a much higher rate than the other 100 programs I see on TV.
