I was on vacation and missed most of the game. I know there have been excuses on both sides, from coaching turnover to poor officiating, but did the App D take over the game? The thing that jumps out to me:
First 4:32 of game - UAB 14 points
Last 55:28 of game - UAB 3 points

Yes. The D adjusted and were monsters.

We were playing the safeties up the first 2 drives. It was like we had planned on their other QB playing who didn’t throw much.

Congrats App. Way to take over the bowl. Great year for you guys.

When we realized their qb couldn’t beat us with his legs, we came after him on passing plays, and ignored him on running plays, he was probably the least athletic qb we played all yr, he had a lot of heart, and took some big hits but man it looked like he was running in mud.

Congrats App on a truly special year. Watching us play yesterday I have no idea how we gave you the 1 loss. But you guys represented the Sun Belt very well

Was playing hurt, you saw the brace?

He had a strained MCL earlier in the year. This was much like the GSU game for that reason.
