CBS does a great job with their production for the SEC game of the week it kind of sad that’s going to end. ESPN/ABC are cheesy a lot of times.

100% agree. One of my favorite things is I know there will always be a good SEC football on CBS to watch almost every Saturday during the season and CBS was the best IMO especially with Verne Lundquist.

It really kind of sucks.

probably not good for our renegotiation. Will want to cut 20 mil per year for loss of UCONN now.

$300 million per season -- a massive increase from the $55 million it currently pays annually.

Those ^^^ are insane crazy numbers... I get it that the AAC does not get tv ratings as the SEC but the AAC does register respectable ratings and to actually only fetch $7 million per for this league members there's definitely something wrong with how AAC's negotiations took place with ESPN. SMH

Maybe. But this could actually help the AAC. It might mean we get fewer prime time slots but it might over the season get more eyes on the AAC games slotted in front or behind that prime slot. And the product entertainment level & performance comparisons will be extremely valuable showing the AAC can compete.

I agree. I could CBS going after Big Ten at some point.

I’m surprised NBC hasn’t pushed for more games than the few ND games a year.

Piling on to agree as well. Sometimes, taking the most money isn't necessarily the wisest choice...

It's only a matter of time until ESPN tries to influence the outcome of games. If I am playing the SEC that much money, then the LAST thing I want is for half of the league to be really poor.

I don't think much will change, the relevant games will be on TV and the irrelevant games will be on ESPN+

I think aresco should try and get a western expansion side so you can pick up those MWC slots

Why they don't do that NOW? Need to pay attention to the announcers and then watch the officials on calls/No Callas like pass interference, positioning of the ball on critical 1st down determination, false starts/motion calls, and phantom holding calls.

I have a feeling that those prime slots before and/or after those same SEC games will be occupied by their flavor of the week for ESPiN as usual, we might get 1 of those spots per month.

I am hoping that CBS actually makes a decent offer for our basketball package, that is still out there.
