For those worried that the cupboard will be bare next year....
Solid recruiting class, some of whom chose JMU over multiple P5 offers, and a couple of FBS transfers already, which I imagine we will be seeing more of over the next several months.... 2020 recruiting class

Cignetti will never accept JMU the "rebuilding" of JMU. He believes JMU should be a contender each and every year. If there's a hole missing, he'll fill it with a transfer if he feels like it needs to be done.
We'll find out how confident he feels in the QB position if he chooses to bring in a transfer this offseason.
I think we'll be fine, but it's hard to believe next year's team will be a step UP from this year's team. Pretty big shoes to fill right now. Still work to do but looking like a hard act to follow.

Did you see a title coming in 2016?

I’m too lazy to look it up, do we have an FBS game next year? Just trying to think of whether 0 or 1 loss is the safest bet.

I’m surprised you’re picking 8-3 considering you previously said next year would be our worst season in decades

Which positions are going to be the biggest drop-off? QB? Remains to be seen. OLine? Front 6/7?

Still think to be a contender, we need to land a transfer QB, but that's just one man's opinion.

QB is our only real "question" next year. Everything else we are returning starters or our 2 deep is loaded.

I'll take either of the two QBs we have in a second year under Cignetti over a transfer. That Adams recruit we picked up seems like a good prospect too and we know Cig isnt going to shy away from starting a freshman QB

I thought he was going to be solid but he hasn't beaten out Cole Johnson for the #2 role, so I have my doubts.

Well it is a question because nobody has really stood out as being 'the guy', separated themselves from the others and gives off the 'potential all time great' vibe yet. Let's hope by next year that happens. And for the record I'd be happy if anyone steps up to take the mantle, Freshman, a transfer or either of Gage/Cole.

Yeah, I have no clue. I just want the lefty to succeed.

One thing I like about Cignetti is his belief that anything short of a top rated contender is a fail considering the resources and fcs competition. He has said as much. Cignetti is not an excuse making squatter like his boss.

To actually answer your question, yes, @UNC-CH on 9/19.

Wait, people are saying QB is a question mark after arguing all last year that the best QB was on the bench?!?!

Keep in mind nearly every other fanbase is looking at their graduating class with trepidation. We'll be just fine.

I never argued that. I always thought you could see that Ben was going to be a special quarterback. He's one of our top 5 ever.
