Joe Brady is Hot rn in the RPO game and h emerged with The successes of LSU & Burrows......Look at his interviews, unfortunately there could be issues from a media/marketing standpoint with Brady......If he can overcome this hurdle, sky is the limit for him.....He considers himself a reclusive work-a-Horlick that want's to understand his role and delve immensely into that role.....Hopefully this could be overcome but it could be a burden......Norvell/Penny just happened to be gr8 @ all aspects of the Head coaching processes

He doesn't need Memphis to jump start his career. If he is patient he will get a top job when it opens up.

They need to make this hire like today. Make that the story going forward. The train just keeps rolling. let the new FSU staff watch from home.

If we decided to hire outside the staff I'd love Brady. That being said, Ryan would keep continuity and recruiting rolling and most importantly , keep the players in a happy mindset that the importance of can't be understated.

Would be for Silverfield too

Not for an Odom, even though I like him

An issue with the Napiers of the world are they would likely leave Memphis ASAP if hired, whereas Norvell coached 4 years as did Fuente, although easy to forget Fuente went 4-8 then 3-9 with a desultory late season loss at UConn before gaining traction

We have a legitimate shot to win every game next season so Silverfield makes sense

I heard this guy's name on today's NFL pregame today and haven't heard him mentioned as a candidate....maybe too far gone from Memphis ties, but he sure checks the pedigree box

That makes two Pittsburgh Steelers coaches with Memphis ties. Remember Keith Butler, the All-American Linebacker that played for us in the 1970s and coached for us in the 1990s? Probably happy where he is right now.

Sure I remember Butler...saw him play many times..along with Keith Simpson

I mentioned Fichtner because of his offensive coordinator position and what he did with Wimprine

Fichtner is a good one but he hasn't been involved in recruiting in over 12 years.

A lot of good options on that list (minus Odom/Freeze), and I'm sure all of those would jump at the chance to come to Memphis. We're gonna be in great hands, and everything's lookin' up Memphis!

RE: Possible Coaching Candidates List
When we hired Fuente we needed a change so bringing in someone from outside (TCU) made sense

Four years later there was still a feeling we needed the energy from outside to sustain

Today, eight years later, we gave pretty damn full energy and engagement in place

Now it is solidly about sustaining, where we were not 100% sure we had completely elevated as of 2016

Silverfield

You dont have to do a background search on someone who is currently on staff, or who was recently on staff. You would have already performed those background searches.
