Upset Specials - Michigan, Texas A&M, Auburn to win
Yes, count on these rivalry day upsets. Here's why:
1) Michigan is due to beat Ohio State, and the setting is perfect for it. The game is in the Big House. Michigan's defense is fo-real, lots of NFL talent not just a scheme thing. And Michigan's QB is talented and with experience has become savvy. All of this will add up to a narrow win over Ohio State.
Michigan wins 20 - 17
2) TAMU is also due for a win. This is a very talented team, really a Top 25 level team. Lots of NFL talent as well. They have played the most brutal schedule and gave good games to the toughest opponents out there.
LSU has played with fire with their poor defense. Tonight, it burns them.
TAMU wins 34 - 30
3) Auburn over Alabama? To me, this is the easiest call to make. If you tell me only one of these three upsets happens, I would pick the Tigers over the Elephants. Why?
Auburn's DL is monstrous, and they are going to tear Matt Jones a new one. That's basically what will happen. Expect Jones to throw 3 interceptions. And on the other side, Auburn's physical run game will wear down Alabama's suspect front seven.
Auburn wins 27 - 17
There you have it!

Michigan isn't that good.
Texas A&M has lots of talent, but is not a good team. Their offense is putrid. They cannot score to keep up with LSU.
I agree with you on the Auburn pick. With Tua out, Alabama is not nearly as good. Auburn wins a close one.

I would love to see this kind of craziness! Hypothetically, this happens, then what (assuming top seeds win the rest)?
Next CFP: #1 Clemson, #2 Georgia, #3 Ohio St, #4 LSU, #5 Utah, #6 Oklahoma ???

you get partial credit on #3. Yes Auburn won, but 27-17? Half credit on that one IMO.

Quo, seriously, as your doctor I’m urging you to start taking your meds again.
All kidding aside, calling for 3 big upsets was a little overly ambitious but you did go 1 for 3. I anticipated that Auburn might expose Bama and sure enough they did.
Ohio St and LSU are both the legitimate article although the LSU defense is a bit shaky.
