So.Miss fans have been wanting to leave CUSA since all the ordinal teams moved on. Would much rather play other regional rivals like Louisiana Lafayette and Troy rather than Old Dominion and UTEP no offense to those programs. If I'm not mistaken Marshall and App State and Marshall and Ga Southern have history from their D1-AA days.

The difference between So. Miss and Marshall fans and WKU fans is this. We HAVE history in FBS football. You have history in FCS football. Conference USA in its current format is the Best Thing to EVER Happen to WKU Football Charlotte, FIU or FAU football. The same current format is **** compared to what So. Miss and Marshall fans are use to playing in.

So. Miss and Marshall use to play in front of National TV now we're stuck streaming on ESPN +.. You damn right we're not happy about being in this conference.

When was USM and Marshall a dominate force in our conference? In the last 20 years of play USM and Marshall has 1 more conference championship than Western...that's combined. In the past 20 years USM has finished in the top 25, ONCE, same as Western. Marshall twice. Again you need to go back to when a lot of you USM fans were in diapers. Everything you said is "use to". Hell Western was once a top 10 national program in basketball. Yes NATIONAL, unlike you USM fans that believe you were once a national program. You wasnt anything more than a good little team that got all of the SEC rejects when there wasnt many FBS programs playing in the south.

As I said you would think if USM was as good of a program as you and other USM fans seem to think. Whatever TV deal CUSA has and had over the past 5 years....

USM WOULD be top choice for those tier 1 games. Guess what, you're not. This little team with no history has played twice as many TV games as USM.

As for USM fans not caring about Western and that's the reason they did not show up. You and I both know that is bullcrap. Those fans remember the ass kicking USM took in the championship game. But that's the same excuse most USM fans use. Yet the box score attendance for games against the eastern schools are higher than the west schools USM plays at home.

The SBC and CUSA created the Exit and Entrance Fees to prevent schools from bolting to each other on their own.

If USM ever really wanted out bad enough, I am quite confident both leagues would very quickly agree to proposals to waive portions of the fees.
