We recruit WRs based on body type rather than overall ability. They just want big bodies that can grab the 50-50 balls and someone to block down field. The bombs we threw in early games was due to the complete lack of talent on those defenses. We have average speed at best, at that position. When we’ve played the best defenses, these WRs have been locked down. Some of its due to no respect for our run game, defenses only bring 4-5 and drop everyone else back, some of its due to half decent DBs in man to man.
Talking about qbs, I don’t think I’ve seen our qbs throw the ball out of bounds one time based on nobody being open. That’s a reflection of coaching.
We could actually use Grossman and Parham in the short pass game, maybe quicker than I give em credit for. However, we have no intention of putting athletes on the field.

And for the love of depth, move Haden back to slot for the next four games. Meet the Browns and Luc can handle the RB duties sub Wooden for who’s hurt. Haden can help tremendously at slot WR allowing Parham to get outside reps and redshirt Rajae unless we burned his RS already.
If we keep Jarius Thomas from transferring following his redshirt and sign Maleak Bryant, we should be in much better shape from an athleticism and receiving point at the TE position next season.
