Just like UAB's crimson big brother in this very moment.04-rock

Spoke too soon 03-drunk

Bad news: We are not good on offense (that score03-puke)

Good news: Bama's home streak is broken so we should be in the top 3 in home streak! 04-rock

i am talking about vandy kentucky arkansas and one every year miss teams who make to a bowl game by winning only 2 conference game

most realistic fans predict a lost to TN, SOUTHERN MISS, LA TECH .AND NTX FOR THIS team
8-4 at best
we may beat NTX to compensate for the wk lost
7-5 seem more realistic with this offense

Class. Thanks.

But at this point, I think you have higher expectations for us than we do.

tr

thank you

we dont have a very good offense with our starter but a 3 string qb won make it against a good defense

I did. Y'all was overdue. Beating La Tech most likely isn't in the cards.

Passing stats since The Return (updated):
2017 16 TD 4 INT
2018 18 TD 16 INT
2019 16 TD 16 INT

Watching Appy vs South Carolina. Didn't realize Appy's QB played HS at Hewitt. Good player.

Lucero could have played. I suspect though that they didn't give him any snaps in practice this week.

Very very bad offensive performance that didn't give our defense any help.

With that said, the defense couldn't defend the long pass or a lot of plays along the way.

Even if Johnston played it would have been difficult to win because you can't throw it 80 yards down the field all the time.

Every now & then you need to be able to run the ball or pass the ball 15 yards down the field.

Yup. We played like ****. Maybe it was the La Tech game we worked on during the bye week.

Not the end of the world but getting our asses kicked on national tv two weeks in a row sucks.

Did they even practice during the bye week?

Appy 13 USC 9 10:48 left 3rd qtr

South Carolina has plenty of time to come back but that's how to show up and represent your school. App St's QB is a former 2 star from Hewitt.

Yep. and Helton's team showed up against Arkansas. Troy, who has lost 5 games, scored 42 on Southern Mississippi. We have a LOOOOOONG ways to go on offense.

RE: UAB USM Game Thread
I’m going to start with the good. Clark can coach defense. The D fought their buts off today. Now the bad, first thing that stood out and shows one of two things either incompetence or the coaches giving up. Down 17-0 with about 7 minutes to go in the second quarter. UAB has the ball one might think they would run some tempo speed it up a bit maybe get a score and stop then maybe score again before half. On that drive they didn’t snap the ball before 15 seconds left on the play clock most of the time they snapped it under 10. That right there is either giving up or incompetence in the play calling and game management. 2. There are no in game adjustments. If you’re having trouble pass blocking on the online maybe don’t keep running routes 40 yards down field. Maybe get the quick passing & screen game going. I know Vincent is incapable of drawing up a short passing game or a capable screen game but that’s a logical adjustment. And people thinking Bill Clark was going to leave for a bigger job you can probably forget about that. P5 schools want an offense. Clark isn’t going anywhere.
It’ has to be obvious by now too everyone that the OC is the problem and Clark has to make a change. The problem with that is a Capable OC outside Of the Clark coaching tree. Is going to want to bring in his own position coaches. OLine, QB, RB, WR, etc. Meaning Clark is going to have to part ways with his yes men buddies. Loyalty can be a major flaw in the coaching profession. It can cost you your job. Clark is going to have to put his ego in check & give up some control. He needs to take a step back like Saban did years ago or what Coach O just did this last year. Know what you are good at and focus on that. Get the best possible people you can to coach offense and let them do it. He needs to focus on defense & building the brand.

Run, run draw. 05-stirthepot

Our high school offense is being exposed. The OC needs great players at every position to be successful. It's his job to find one thing we are good at, but I don't think we have found that one thing all year. We certainly don't have a plan B when things fall apart. All QBs should play at this point. Someone has to provide a spark.

And the QB from last night is slow. Not really a running QB. Looked like he was scared to run.

RE: UAB USM Game Thread
Injuries happen but I feel like the way we have dealt with injuries to Spencer Brown and TJ3 have made us look completely amateur. Great teams can have their 2nd and even 3rd strong guys come in with only little drop off. We have dropped off greatly.

Some of that is depth/recruiting, but some of it is coaching and not having a clear #2 RB who has gotten lots of reps. Same with QB. Why has Hopkins gotten little to no experience prior to Tennessee? Why aren’t we getting some other QBs reps when we are one injury away from neither TJ3 or Hopkins being available, even if you say Hopkins is the best currently available.

Clark coached teams normally seem to have the edge in preparation and scheme. This year seems to have been a train wreck in that regard. Everyone understands injuries. But not everyone has the wheels fall off when someone is injured.

Defense is the only thing keeping us in a lot of these games. We need some big changes to get things right with the offense.

I think a drop off was to be expected and going into the season I would have been fine with 7 or 8 wins. I think the bigger concern is how poorly we've looked against any decent competition we've faced and it really seems like we've made no adjustments on offense, it's just gotten worse. I think a change in staff is definitely needed.

We fired our first OC and he was fired halfway through his next season as an OC. Then we replaced him with an OC that was fired half way through his last season as an OC.

Hopefully we'll be seeing another change after this season and third time will be the charm.
