L.S.U. wins tonight they jump Ohio State. If Alabama keeps it close they fall to 5 or 6 and could work their way back to 4 with some help. We'll see. But they should have been ahead of them anyway. Alabama's schedule has been weak but so to has Ohio State's.

LSU was a little too excited at the end. Ole Miss is going to give them fits next week. They are lucky they don't have A&M next week.
Arkansas should be easy for them.

Offenses that good, or D just sucks hard?

Either way, OSU rolls either team.

small problem for OSU, very possible they never see LSU.

I'd guess playoffs will look like
1 LSU vs 4 Oregon/Utah/Oklahoma
2 Ohio St vs 3 Clemson

I think it's very possible.....

This year for once feels like a huge difference being #1.

I agree. They should have acted like this:

What a game. Joe Burrrow, wow. Even the Bama blondes with the leather jackets were impressed.

Neither Oregon nor Utah make the playoffs. Oregon lost to the team that will finish 4th or 5th in the SEC. Utah has no impressive OOC games at all and will probably lose again.

The only question left if Alabama runs the table will be are they better than Oklahoma. It is likely that L.S.U.'s first game will be with Alabama and Ohio State will play Clemson.

I think the likely pool barring upset is down to this: L.S.U., Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma. I think Minnesota loses to Wisconsin or Ohio State. I think Utah loses to Oregon and Oregon is out for losing to Auburn which L.S.U., and possibly Alabama will have beaten. I think Georgia loses their 2nd game in the CCG. And Ohio State and Clemson will be unbeaten.

If Oregon runs the table, the last second loss on a neutral site to Auburn won't be as big of a deal as you are making it.

12-1 Oregon gets in over a second SEC team. 12-1 Oklahoma as well.

LSU should jump Ohio State, no doubt.

Ohio State has 2 wins vs current top 25 teams and Alabama has zero. Alabama has a "good loss", big deal, Ohio State has no loss. Still a long way to go.

Giving Oklahoma too much credit and Oregon not enough. Oklahoma took another hit today with Kansas State losing to unranked Texas.

I think Alabama's loss really opens the door for Oklahoma to play their way back into the playoff. It certainly helps Oklahoma that Baylor is undefeated

Oregon with the inside track.

But what about 12-1 LSU and 12-1 UGa SEC Champ?

Then LSU is your 4th team over Oregon unless they get blown out by the Dogs.

Oregon needs help and Bama needs a prayer.

PS: With the aforementioned scenario, I’m thinking:

OSU vs LSU Fiesta
Clemson UGa Peach

To me, the big winner this weekend is Clemson. All their title rivals had problems exposed.

Alabama - lost, plus Tua is hobbled and will be going forward, and their defense is a mess.

LSU - defense is a very porous. Plus banged up from tough games. That wear and tear gets worse as season progresses.

Ohio State - lost Chase Young, exactly the stud they need to pressure Lawrence and disrupt Clemson offense.

Meanwhile, Clemson is routing yet another ACC softie, allowing them to rest their starters and give lots of play time to talented underclassmen. Dabo can plan for the playoffs all season.

Really, if forced to bet $10,000 on either Clemson or the field to win, i would take Clemson.

Right. What's more is to ask who is each schools signature win? Texas may be a 4 loss team by the end of the regular season and Auburn could be as well (although Auburn's losses will be much higher quality than Texas's losses).
So Alabama will have lost to L.S.U. by 6.
Oregon will have lost to Auburn which in these projections will have lost to Alabama.
Oklahoma will only have 1 somewhat quality win, Texas. And I'm sorry but I watched Baylor win two games by lousy replay reviews and eek by in others. So if Oklahoma plays Baylor in the CCG and wins that won't exactly be a quality win on a national scale.

Oregon and Oklahoma both have issues with their resume'. And without question if they all end with 1 loss Alabama's loss will be the best loss. The rest is fairly lousy for all 3.

If Oregon and Utah remain with 1-loss each, I think it will be hard to keep out the PAC 12 Champ.

Oklahoma will need to start blowing teams out, including Baylor next week

Alabama needs to finish strong and blow out Auburn. Their schedule this year has been really weak though, and they lost their one big game
