As I understand things, a 11 team AAC means nobody in the conference has an extra game to fill/schedule. Thus, natural games like Temple don’t seem likely next year.
Does anyone know how they are doing filling out their schedule.
I couldn't find much for 2020. UConn future schedule looks like this so far (9/19/19):
2020 - UMass, at Illinois, Maine, Indiana
2021 - Holy Cross, Purdue, at UMass, at Clemson
2022 - Central Connecticut, at NC State, Boston College
2023 - Duke, Lafayette, NC State, at Boston College
2024 - at Duke, at Maryland
2025 - Central Connecticut, at Purdue
2026 - Lafayette, at Tennessee, at Maryland
So they have 8 games to fill next year. I'm guessing Villanova and other Big East FCS teams may be available. I find it interesting that they have future home/home with Purdue, Maryland, Duke, BC, NC State, and away games at Tennessee and Clemson. I suppose the BE basketball tie-in is providing the home/home with Duke and other basketball powers.
