C'mon now. Yeah---Houston didnt look great---but it was still an 11 point game at the half and an 11 point game with 2 minutes left in the game. Thats a different world from a 28-0 halftime score and a 42-0 final.

Competitive IMO means the outcome of the game is in doubt. Houston was never in the OK game. They did manage to score several times and played better as the game progressed. Competitive, no.

i disagree with your definition..competitive means both teams have to try ..the game doesnt have to be in doubt ..
"competitive" isnt what youd use to describe games where that are extremely close ... competitive is the description mostly commonly used games like houston

if you said the marshall was atleast competitive in the boise game, marshall fans would say it was more that just competitive that they could have won
