NCAA, and based on precedent will likely be granted for the short term. The issue becomes will it be granted as a longer term (beyond two to three years) solution...which necessitates a rule change.

If Memphis goes undefeated and Houston only loses to Memphis only Memphis plays in the championship.

New format would be the two best teams.
