“Please, Mr. President. Stop. Please.”
https://www.yahoo.com/news/rick-santorum...12494.html
Quote:President Donald Trump used the power of the presidency to promote one of his resorts on Monday, this time pitching his struggling Doral Club in Florida as the host of next year’s G-7 summit.

Even some of Trump’s biggest supporters called him out over the obvious conflict of interest, including Rick Santorum, the former Republican senator from Pennsylvania. The two-time GOP presidential candidate said on Monday that Trump shouldn’t use his own property to host next year’s summit, calling it a “violation of the law.”

Mr bankruptcy is at it again. No, he's not corrupt.

It is a dumb move. Would it change anyone's opinion if he pays for it all out of his pocket?

I think for it to be corrupt it would require malice or understanding that it's corrupt. He really probably doesn't see anything wrong with it. I don't think he cares about the profit he would make from it. He just wants to parade world leaders around his property to show off because that's just who he is.

Don't they usually host these things in remote areas so that it is easy to lock down?

Rachel Madcow is on the case. Use of a hotel for a forum that hasnt happened is currently the primary focus of the CNN/MSMBC's liberal propoganda machine.
Number of stories devoted to the very likely development that their Savior president weaponized the intelligence/law enforcement arms of the government for political spying? Zero. How exactly does a "news" network defend missing the biggest corruption story since Watergate? lol...."news" networks my eye.

Not really, as it's still using the office to promote his private business venture.

The area around Doral kind of looks like it would be really easy to secure.

If you can't see that this is inappropriate, REGARDLESS of who the president is or what party he is from, your judgement must sincerely be questioned. Sorry.

not for a meeting of the 7 biggest leaders in the world. Plus, its right by MIA and I bet there is a large no fly zone for these events.

No matter what our President does the spineless, nut-less, gutless Leftists are going to complain. They have too; it’s all they have. They haven’t offered a real solution to anything since the Kennedy Administration.

As much grief as I give that crockpot Bernie Sanders, at least he’s offering solutions, instead of the usual Leftist response of “Orange Man Bad” between indecipherable grunts and moans.

Mara lago is one mile from Palm Beach International, and they secure that location for the leader of the planet. The fact that other smaller leaders would be there would be of no consequence to how they secure the place. I mean, they aint securing the place better just because Macron and his mom show up.

That’s the problem with Leftists. Common sense goes right out the window when it comes to our President. Their unbridled hate for him makes it difficult for them to think.

It's not the best place to have it. Regardless, it's not like it was a realistic possibility anyway.

Why they take EVERYTHING he says/tweets so seriously I'll never understand. Yes, he's the POTUS; however, they should know by now how this works.

Yes, it is a corrupt conflict of interest.

But I'd also like to point out Trump is the only candidate in the 2020 Presidential election field that is self-financing. Because we all know how important not taking outside money is to Democrats on the campaign trail, right?
