I know last tax season for me was great. First time in over 10 years I paid in too much. Double standard deduction PLUS a 20% deduction on my sole proprietor income. Life is great.

Well, you DO have to work and actually PAY federal taxes in order to get a tax cut.

Unfortunately faaaar too many still don’t pay in, so they don’t understand why they don’t just get a check of more free stuff.

Now, I’m not suggesting, in the least, that trolling interwebs message boards and being a lackey for Hee-Haw news and others can’t pay something, not suggesting that at all.

But, it could be possible. At this point I simply don’t know.

I’m a pass through Corporation (Yes, Virginia, corporations ARE people), so all my stuff gets rinsed through that lens, no paychecks etc.

But the lovely and talented Mrs Dunk got a very nice weekly bump. Enough so each month to buy a new car, pay the damn cell bill or cable ripoff, whatever. And we still got an unexpectedly nice refund. Didn’t expect a damn thing as usual, might let her go shopping here at some point...

I got my tax cut a little bit at a time during 2018, in the form of a slightly larger paycheck. I didn't get a HUGE refund since I didn't have enough deductions to itemize and withholding tables aren't designed to give you a large refund if you withhold at the recommend rate. Considering I had capital gains and dividends I'm shocked I got any refund.

Fake new is fake news.

If you live in a state income tax state I doubt you got a cut.

The g'ment has been taking less out of my check. That = more take-home pay and I still got a refund last year.
