Didn't even realize ours started roday. All I've heard about from local media is about the Big 12 media days. Although I haven't caught the local news in a few days.

dana holgerson in the media day interview (without even being asked) reemphasized that he wants to retire in houston.. that he has chased the p5 dream but is ready to settle down

ive always said they key to making an elite program in the g5 is just having a decent coach willing to stay...coach p rejecting p5 offers for 6 years is the reason boise became elite

hoping for the best

David Benedict optimistic for UConn football future, as Randy Edsall focuses on 2019
https://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-foo...story.html

Quote:On what he tells recruits confused about where UConn stands: “that we’re in the American Athletic Conference, that we’re playing there and that’s where we’re at."

ucon contemplating going digital for football lol after all the espn+ nonsense
Quote:The athletic director also said he believed UConn could find a broadcast home for its football team if the program goes independent, mentioning SNY’s interest as well as the array of digital services that could bid on rights.

Quote:UConn offensive lineman Matthew Peart said Tuesday that most players had chosen not to fret the program’s future. He said on the day the Big East news broke, redshirt freshman receiver Heron Maurisseau sent a group message to the team’s offensive players encouraging everyone to remain focused.

“He was pretty much pouring his heart out saying, this doesn’t matter,” Peart said. “We have our season. We’re going to dominate. At the end of the day, whatever happens happens. But we have a season, we have games soon.”

I liked it when Aresco said Cincy was the premier athletic department in the conference and how all the other athletic departments need to strive to be like UC.

So where is all the media day coverage? I feel like I’ve seen about an hour of content between Aresco and the coaches interviews.

Did they do a round-table this time?

They did a round table with the coaches yesterday, broke up into 3 sections (4 coaches at a time). I watched some on the facebook feed. A couple of topics were the targeting rule, and shoe companies' involvment in college athletics.

I went to theamerican.org, clicked on the big link on the top of the home page that said Media days, and it took me straight to the facebook live stream. Easy peasy.

How hard is it to separate each school’s media talk?

It’s not hard.

Aresco made the same as the SEC commish in 2017 (around $2mm) Problem is the SEC had about $600mm in revenue and the AAC had about $75mm. Wake up.
