Just sent YouTubeTV, simple statement. Like them as my streaming service but without ACC Network, I will move back to PSVUE at the end of August.

I have Sling, but frankly I'd prefer they add it to the +$5 sports package. I'll order it. But I don't need them adding a bunch of channels as an excuse to raise their $25/mo package. I quick Youtube TV when they "improved" with a bunch of channels I didn't want, and raised the price $10.

TBH, I was thinking the same thing. The most important thing to me: the ACCN should be on the same package as the SECN.

I like Vue better. Switched from YTTV to Vue. The Vue app is way better. You get more relevant sports content for less bucks. It's just simply better.

FSU is starting to put heat on carriers in FL who haven't yet agreed to terms with the ACCN.
https://www.tallahassee.com/story/sports...701843001/

Expect to see a LOT more of this sort of heat between now and 8/22/19. I think that the ACC and ESPN know what they're doing.

Nearly everyone of the SEC deals weren't announced until late July to August.

RE: ACC Network
From this Atlanta Journal-Constitution article... https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/acc-n...clknsN44J/

Part of the challenge that the ACC faces, Stansbury said, is that some of the contracts that major cable companies with Disney aren’t up for the next one, two or three years.

“So for a lot of those companies to negotiate with us now is to negotiate for one channel only, which is something that they’re not necessarily going to want to do,” Stansbury said.

I expect negotiations to ramp up significantly, and likely already are in that mode, between now and launch 38 days from now. This reinforces why it is critical that ACC fans - at least those interested in receiving the ACC Network channel - whose providers are not on board need to make their demands clear (preferably in advance). Further, if they do switch like I likely will be doing if Comcast/Xfinity doesn't sign up, please make that known when you cancel your service.

Hopefully, things will work out for most, if not all, of us currently on the outside looking in. The launch will be 38 days from now, but I really hope to know from Comcast within the next 30 days as it will take me a week or more to get service changed to DirecTV or whoever (hopefully DISH).

I'm giving Youtube TV until until early September then I'll go to Vue I guess

RE: ACC Network
Awful Announcing has a piece on the state of progress on carriage agreements.
https://awfulannouncing.com/ncaa/acc-net...arter.html

Here’s what I take to be the key quote: “... just 20 million households subscribe to a service that has an announced deal to carry the ACC Network, with most of those being due to DirecTV. However, more deals are expected to be announced soon, and [Dave] Glenn’s sources say the network is expected to debut with 30 million to 50 million subscribers. ...”

I suppose your take on this will depend upon whether you’re a glass half full or half empty person.

What a non-coincidence coincidence .... the AJC runs a story on coverage a few days after the Tallahassee newspaper .... https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/acc-n...clknsN44J/

It's impossible to imagine Charter not signing on given the number of customers they have between NE ATL and GSP who will demand the GT-CU game.

RE: ACC Network
It always seems the ACC has the worst timing. They went first when it came to negotiating a new tv deal that was worth approximately $13m a year per member I think back in 2011, seemed good at the time and then realized after the fact that they were short changed. Then they are trying to sell the cable companies a 1 channel sports package when everybody across the nation is already cutting the chord because cost is too high.

ACC doesn't have the worst timing.

It has the worst leadership.

From 247 Sports:
Quote:... [Clemson AD] Radakovich said it's been tough working out the kinks with the distributors and carriers for the ACC Network. Radakovich said he thinks it will better in Year 2 than Year 1 in terms of the timing and quantity and quality of the carriers. ...

Would prefer him saying the ACCN will be up to full speed by 8/22.

Reading GT’s Stansbury and CU’s Radakovich comments it sure feels like they are doing proactive damage control. As in prepping the fan bases by lowering expectations. Not good if so.

There is speculation that there may be a carriage announcement at the ACC kickoff event starting tomorrow. Comcast?

Charter is more likely (they've definitely been in talks lately, not sure about Comcast)

Either one would be a BFD but I wouldn’t count on it.

Agreed. Either would be a coup, I expect they will get both on board by the launch date.

RE: ACC Network
Apparently, Swofford didn't announce any new carrier contracts today. However, there's this from the 247 Sports summary of Swofford's presentation:

"Said the new ACC Network, set to launch at 7 p.m. on Aug. 22, will draw the largest population and most TV sets of any conference. The first show will be a two-hour special edition show call "All ACC" that will introduce the on-air talent.

"At 9 p.m. that night, there will be a special on Duke basketball called "The Class that Saved Coach K."

"A few other original programs: Previously announced all-access, four-part series leading up to Clemson's 2019 season; a one-hour special on Louisville's fall camp prep; a special on Bobby Bowden titled the "Bowden Dynasty"; Wes Durham and Mark Packer will host a regular morning show; "ACC Traditions" will be a collaborative show with Raycom and will highlight various conference traditions.

There will be another special show on Clemson Football titled "Greatest Ever: The 2018 Clemson Tigers." It will document Clemson in the Cotton Bowl and National Championship. "
https://247sports.com/college/clemson/Ar...133722701/

What does "draw" the most TV sets mean? Maybe he said or meant to say "draw on."
