RE: DC15- NBA Draft Workouts
KZ Okpala from Stanford (who we faced last year) went # 32 to Phoenix.
Jarrell Brantley went # 50 to the Pacers (then traded to the Jazz).
JWF from Hofstra joined Brantley in Utah, going # 53.

It's not likely that he will get his name called tonight. However, he did have 6 NBA draft workouts so it's possible. Idk what's going on with the whole French team situation, but he should definitely be on a summer league roster.
Cacok signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers. Essentially, this means he will be on their summer league roster and get an invite to training camp with a shot at making the roster, or get 1 of the 2 two-way deals a team can offer. If he gets waived at training camp he would go to the Lakers G-League affiliate where he would then receive a signing bonus up to as much as 50,000 dollars. I'm sure not getting drafted was tough for him as hard as he works but we all know he's been slept on his whole basketball life. He will play in the NBA one day, I'm sure of it.

Sounds like the Jazz liked watching the 3x3 tournament... too bad they didn't take Cacok too.

In the NBA, there really isn't much difference in a 2nd round pick and a undrafted free agent. You just don't get to hear your name called on national television. The fact of the matter is if you don't go in the 1st round nothing is guaranteed. Cacok got to pick where he wanted to go, and he picked a team that is going to be looking for value on minimum deals. The Lakers present the best chance for him to make a roster this season.

Actually sounds like a pretty good situation for him.

It really is and couldn't have happened to a better guy. Ready to see him put in work in the Summer League

RE: DC15- NBA Draft Workouts
The Lakers have 5 players under contract. Despite that, they need to clear cap space to offer Davis a max contract. It is a good situation for Cacok even if he starts on their G League team. There's a good chance he could be called up if the Lakers' have injuries or if Lebron becomes peeved with a teammate.

I don't like the Lakers, but I'd strongly consider buying a Cacok Laker jersey.

Been a Celtics fan my whole life because of my dad. I think he even understands that I will be rooting for DC15 no matter what. If he makes their NBA roster, I will definitely buy a jersey.

I was born in Sacramento and then lived in Phoenix until age 12, so I was always a Lakers fan. Until the Hornets came along. I would buy a Cacock Lakers jersey as soon as one came available.

Too bad Cacok probably doesn't know to ask LeBron if he remembers Beckham Wyrick. I'm sure LeBron doesn't want to be reminded.

Lakers made another trade to clear cap space for another max contract. They currently have 4 players on the roster as of now and will be looking for several players to pay the minimum if they land another star.

RE: DC15- NBA Draft Workouts
Tonight's Heat-Lakers game should be on NBA TV tonight if you'd like to check out Cacok's first shot at taking on NBA competition.
The Heat roster includes 2019 # 13 overall pick Tyler Herro (Kentucky) as well as Trey Mourning (Georgetown).
