Don't hold your breath. We were at 42 in 2009 and got left out when we didn't win the SLC tourney.

Two things:
1. Incredibly soft bubble this year.
2. SBC regular season championship carries more weight than SLC regular season championship.

Also, that was 2010 you're thinking of. 2009 was our best season maybe ever. Won 40+ games. Though we played poorly in our regional that year.

I am holding my breath, but definitely prepared for disappointment (as I pretty much always am).

That's kind of why I said, I think. At my age everything starts to blur.

The soft bubble, combined with very few "stolen bids" (Sun Belt, Mountain West) bodes well for the Bobcats.

Looks to me like we'll have a two bid league this year.

Not gonna lie, after the way we played our last 10 or 11, I'd be happy if we could still "sneak our way in."

But I ain't gonna get my hopes up either . . . ..

Guess we'll know tomorrow.

I will feel a lot better if Liberty wins its tourney game, and if FAU can beat USM for the CUSA tourney title.

That should eliminate Liberty, FAU, and USM from bubble consideration, as Liberty and FAU would be auto bids, and USM should drop off the bubble.

Liberty just won the A-Sun. That helps.
Cincinnati just won the AAC. That hurts bad as UConn is prob in regardless and Cinci needed to win to get in.
Need Nebraska to beat Ohio State. Nebraska is probably in, OSU has no chance without winning.
FAU is down 4-0 in the 9th to USM. That hurts badly as FAU is in regardless and USM is right there with us on the bubble. Hopefully we can get a miracle.

It's gonna be close. Just gonna have to cross our fingers. We'll probably be among last 4 in or first 4 out.

USM just beat FAU in the CUSA champ game. Not good. USM just stole a spot from the bubble (though they were on the bubble themselves).

I may look at it a little more closely tonight, but the regular season champion from the 10th rated league with an rpi ranking of 52 that goes 0-2 in their conference tournament is on extremely thin ice if they are expecting an at large bid.

Bubble is soft this year. Mid-40s is virtually a lock unless you have a terrible record or something like Alabama. I admit I didn't think we'd even be in the discussion once we fell out of the 40s but this is the year to do it I guess. There will be a couple teams in the 50s getting at-large bids. Not sure if we'll be one or not.

Our record against top 100 teams is prob what's keeping us in the discussion (12-9 [4-4 vs top 50]).

Ohio State, with their 126 RPI, just won the Big 10 tournament. Bad news for TXST.

Big 10 probably just went from a 4 bid league to a 5 bid league.

Baseball America just released their projected field of 64.

Bobcats did not make the cut . . . Noon tomorrow, Selection Show.
