I agree. They want that competitive advantage. Their previous admin made a commitment to follow through with baseball. CUSA presidents voted UNT into the conference.
Now that there is a different AD, no mention of baseball. Time for the CUSA presidents to hold their feet to the fire.
It also says a lot about the ethics coming out Denton
What advantage, NT sponsors 16 team sports, and it appears La Tech does the same.
How about NT adds baseball when La Tech adds women's swimming and golf.
At least NT didn't have to add women's bowling to be in compliance with the number of NCAA mandated teams.
There are a lot of NT fans who would love to add baseball, but NT's administration has stated in the past that is not going to happen until a competitive ball park can be constructed. That facility is in the long term plan, but a low priority.
My guess, is you have no evidence other than hearsay that NT ever agreed or was mandated to add baseball.
It is doubted any member of CUSA is going to be involved in making threats against another member concerning how they spend their money.
If La Tech is worried about NT advantage because NT doesn't field a baseball team. La Tech should just drop baseball and add men's bowling.
La Tech and NT have some great competitions and it is doubted either administration is concerned about this issue.
