Wow. Kid is fast and explosive. As late as we are and with some pretty nice offers, I'm not sure how we get in the hunt. Hopefully Fischer/Boatner can schmooze their way in.

Hutchins is also considering a prep year so that is another variable.

I noticed that Hunter took an official to ODU last weekend.
And an official to Boston University this weekend.
Hunter picks ODU.

Could we use Hunter McIntosh? Too bad, Jonathan Holmes is celebrating Hunter's commitment to Elon. Isn't that sweet?

Or maybe Zac Ervin....Darn, Elon offered him and he's planned a visit, since they're one of his five finalists.
Or maybe Connor Crabtree, who's scheduled transfer visits to Richmond and Boise St, but considering Elon too.
Then again with anywhere from 3-7 slots potentially available, I guess we need to be careful about when we decide to offer SOMEBODY !!!!!

JMU offers Hairston for 2020. The Bryant offer is also for 2020; I don’t know about the rest. Hairston still considering 2019 options.
Adam Ayalew tweets:

Texas A&M Corpus Christi offers Hairston. I didn’t see if it was a 2020 offer like JMU’s or a 2019.

2019 Men's Basketball Recruiting
Well, with two new coaches comes two new Twitter feeds to stalk. I took a quick look at some of the names added since the hiring.
Coach Jason Kemp- Comes to us from Ohio. He seems like he will be our Midwest recruiter.

Chris Shelton 6'4 Gum Springs, VA
Dajon Dancil 6'4 Dekalb, GA (2020)
Anwar Gill 6'4 Washington, DC
Coach Mike Howland- Comes to us from Winthrop in South Carolina. His focus seems to be the south.
Tay Howard 6'4 Commerce, GA
Malik Tidwell 5'9 Chicago Heights, IL
Kendall Lewis 6'5 Snellville, GA
Ahmir Langlais 6'8 Lilburn, GA
Jack Kostel 6'1 Dacula, GA (2020)
Zane Meeks 6'9 Prairie Village, KS (Brewster Academy)
Tyrin Lawrence 6'3 Madison, GA
Cory Hightower 6'7 Norcross, GA (Presbyterian transfer)

Cory Hightower 6'7 Norcross, GA (Presbyterian transfer)
Adam Flagler 6'2 Duluth, GA (Presbyterian transfer)
A couple of names from the new coaches’ follows I want to add to Mr. J’s list whom I think could also be players they targeted after agreeing to be on Coach Fischer’s staff ten or so days ago:
Kemp:
Marcus Domask (has already been mentioned that the Tribe inquired about him recently)
Miguel Ayesa (6’5” 200lb sharpshooter from a prep school in Orlando)
Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk (6’6” F from Belgium)
Tristen Newton (6’3” SG from El Paso; offers from Northeastern, Evansville, Jackson State, UTRGV)
Howland:
Zac Ervin (he’s been mentioned here before)
Jordan Hairston (mentioned here before; Fischer recently watched him play)
Of all the 2019 players listed here the ones following back one of the coaches are Ayesa, Gill, Shelton, Hightower, Hairston, Tidwell, Howard, and Langlais’ father. You can add Ade Adebayo from Coach Boatner’s recent follows to that list as he followed Boatner back. A player following or not following back is not necessarily indicative of anything since each player uses twitter differently and may also change how they use it over time.

He says a decision is coming soon. Described going through the recruiting process again as tedious but that he is blessed to have these options to consider.
Good sign that he didn’t list his other offers or mention other names of places he was considering. Doesn’t mean he’s coming here of course, but nice that he didn’t feel compelled to name drop other schools. I still put our chances at greater than 50%, but could go either way.
