But let's go back to America losing jobs to oversees nations and still having to pay higher prices for it.

Bingo.

People like the OP would have surrendered to Japan after Wake Island and Germany after Kasserine Pass.

remember the last American made tv you bought?

globalist cucks would sell us out for 84 bucks.

Who did we mean to punish here? What was this meant to fix?

I think the cost per consumer is misleading, I don't know anyone paying $820k for a washing machine. If this were divided across all the machines sold by these manufactures that would be a fair statement of cost/consumer. Statistics can me made to spin things anyway you want. Each consumer probably paid less than $100/machine.

We bought a LG washer and dryer but I hate the washer. My favorite still are the ones that fill with water and you throw your clothes in from the top not the side. I swear this new fangled ones only make a bunch of noise like they're accomplishing something but my blue jeans don't smell as clean as I wish. There's nothing like the washers that half fill with water and go chuga- chuga. 03-wink

ever heard of craigslist....

I can get ya a pair right now for two bills...

sheeple and their 'toys'....

We had two that lasted 18 years and went and bought new ones last year. More for the warranty and they were on sale than anything else. I dont have time to be trying to fix no damn washing machine. That's for young men or men that know how to do it already.

Had an older coworker of mine one time that showed me the way on this kind of thing. We were talking one day and I told him how I'd spent time over the weekend mowing my lawn. He's close to 60 and was like dude you make way too much money per hour to be devoting 3+ hours on the weekend to do the lawn. Pay someone else. That really stuck.

I now pay for my lawn to be mowed and my house to be cleaned. Time means more to me than anything else going forward ever will when you break it down in a return on my investment kind of thing. That Saturday not spent working and doing what I want to do vs what I have to is worth it.

If I buy a cheap washing machine for 200 now and get 3 years out of it or buy a new one for 800 and get a warranty plus 18 years...you do the math.

Not to say if you enjoy fixing things or doing your yard that that is bad. I just dont enjoy doing either enough to not pay someone else.

or you buy both for two bills and do it again in 3-10 yrs....while I can fix 'stuff', I choose to buy and pay for 'things' in the same manner...hell, I have a guy that cleans my house every other week....I've had the same washer/dryer for 10 yrs w/300 out of pocket....

in today's world, I choose commodities cheaply as required unless it's equipment/tools, shoes, tires, coffee and my mary-j ....

the beauty of that is I still can....

choice is a powerful thing.....be glad we can both participate using varying methodologies...that 'works' for me...

Indeed. 04-cheers

You have to bypass the government controlled water limits on all new washers. It's the first thing I did after they dropped it off. Went on youtube and found which nut to turn. Now my new front loader fills almost half way full instead of 1/4.

Give anything to have my old one back but the wife won out on this one

Meanwhile we just inked a new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico that promises to be much better for the U.S. than NAFTA ever was or could be. I wonder why Canada and Mexico were open to a new trade deal...

My 15 year old Kenmore washer and drier are sitting in my garage now after I let my girlfriend talk me into replacing them with her front-loaders. I do like the drier but I'm not convinced I like the washer. Where's the freakin water?? I mean I see it coming out but my clothes aren't sitting in it going chuga-chuga-clunk (it's an old washer and the agitator dogs are worn again, a very easy fix that I've been too lazy to perform). I'm not sure I understand the principle behind the front loader.

I can look out on my yard after I'm done satisfied that it's been done to my expectation and pleased with the visible result of my labor. I did a complete brake job on my truck last week.

Hell, maybe I'm just bored. And I do have more time on my hands than most.

I pay 25 a week for a guy to come out on a zero turn. He has a partner that weed eats and blows it off and they are done in about 15. My expectation is it'll be cut in 15 for 25. It is and I spend Saturday d1cking off.

I know what you mean about the satisfaction of it. I gave up being satisfied about anything when the oldest got to be about 12.

I swear this new fangled ones only make a bunch of noise like they're accomplishing something but my blue jeans don't smell as clean as I wish. There's nothing like the washers that half fill with water and go chuga- chuga. 03-wink

You have to bypass the government controlled water limits on all new washers. It's the first thing I did after they dropped it off. Went on youtube and found which nut to turn. Now my new front loader fills almost half way full instead of 1/4.

Give anything to have my old one back but the wife won out on this one

My 15 year old Kenmore washer and drier are sitting in my garage now after I let my girlfriend talk me into replacing them with her front-loaders. I do like the drier but I'm not convinced I like the washer. Where's the freakin water?? I mean I see it coming out but my clothes aren't sitting in it going chuga-chuga-clunk (it's an old washer and the agitator dogs are worn again, a very easy fix that I've been too lazy to perform). I'm not sure I understand the principle behind the front loader.
