Will Wade jumping right back in and getting visits has to be driving the NCAA and opposing coaches crazy.

I don't care who your team is. If you are a fan of college athletics, the Will Wade debacle is a hard chapter. The idea that he is being allowed to recruit athletes is ridiculous.

It is simply laughable. No chance a school like us would be in a position to do something like this. Can you imagine the wrath of the NCAA if we had a coach caught on tape talking about paying players, suspended him and then reinstated him and allowed to immediately start recruiting again. There is no way Wade gets out of this clean and now I think LSU has managed to put a target on their back by basically spitting in the face of the NCAA... This is a really odd and arrogant decision by LSU.

2nd NCAA/Adidas trial scheduled to start next Monday in New York. This is the trial for which Wade and Sean Miller have been subpoenaed by the defense attorneys.
Good for Wade that he can fit his recruiting visits around testifying in federal trials.

imagine how pissed all the non-LSU fans are gonna be if he snags even 1 of the remaining big names.

Every kid wants to get paid. Not all of them can wait until they get to the NBA though. I am sure that with Penny being a new coach that is getting a lot of talent he will be investigated. I don't think there is anything to worry about in that regards though.

They are following Arizona's lead...

Same situation with Miller and nothing has happened to them 1 year later.

And it could be related to the contract that Will Wade has signed...They cant fire him until he is proven of wrongdoing or they have to pay him his full contract.

I think some of you guys are taking this cheating by buying basketball players to the extreme. It happens; I don’t think it happens as much as you think. And for those to imply Penny is doing it is totally ridiculous.

This is a man who didn’t need this job and, from what I understand, wouldn’t be coaching anywhere this year had the Tigers not needed him in the worst way. He would be on the golf course with MJ, Tiger and other Nike athletes who have several functions a year that are excuses to play golf. Penny took the job for less than half the pay a good agent could have negotiated for him from Memphis. He is basically donating his time to do this.

He is the wealthiest coach in college basketball by a good bit. Don’t believe what you google on net worth. Talked to a financial whiz who handles primarily athletes, coaches and a few celebrities. He laughed when I mentioned online net worth numbers and asked where is google getting this person’s past and present investment portfolio information which is one of the most private things that one has on the web.

So why would a proud, community involved and incredibly wealthy man risk his reputation to pay for players? It's illogical. Penny nor his staff are not involved in cheating to get players; so we might lose a few who have their hand out.
