Virginia is having the most dramatic NCAA Tournament run since Butler in 2010. Every game is either tense and full of emotion, if not a classic.

On second thought, it beats Butler, their first round game wasn't great and they didn't play an OT, granted the OU game was a dud for cinema.

Gotta love the damn replay. Guy has a reach in foul not called but they spend time to give Virginia the ball on the punch away and the CBS announcers (very pro UVa) praise the officials. This game already is starting to smell. Tech can't get a call for fouls and UVa's first 4 points of the overtime were at the line.

It just doesn't take much to turn a game. Swallow the whistle on one end and blow it on the other.

A Texas team loses to an ACC team in heartbreaking fashion for the title, where have I seen that before.

Thanks for one hell of a fun ride, Texas Tech. This Buckeye had a blast watching you play in this tournament!

Congrats, Virginia! National Champion!

Yeah, they missed about 3 obvious fouls against UVA in the last minute and in OT. And then on that rebound, the UVA guy comes over the back, grabs the ball and then hooks the TT player and knocks him down and they call a foul on the Tech player. That had to be the worst call of the game.

The replay did look like a good call though.

Totally agree on the foul called on the rebound. They hit Tech 3 point shooters twice (one during the second half, and one in OT, and a lot harder strike than the leg bump they called against Auburn and no call. Morretti's dribble was halted by the Guy reach in and the replay clearly showed that until CBS edited it down to the punch away. The other foul that was called was when Guy stumbled in the first minute of the overtime and hit the floor. He stepped on a foot and went down and Tech got called for a foul that cost them 2. Tech would have had 5 unanswered points in the first 2 minutes of OT had Virginia not gotten those two calls.

Luckiest title ever. UVA should have lost all of their last three games.

I take offense at the idea this was the luckiest title ever. But it was close.

At least both programs appear to be clean, unlike some of the other sweet 16.

Similar to all of the Butler runs in the tourney, which will never happen again.

Michigan State- Bradley, Minnesota, LSU and Duke.

Texas Tech- N. Kentucky, Buffalo, Michigan and Gonzaga.

Auburn- NMS, Kansas, UNC and Kentucky.

Virginia- Gardner-Webb,Oklahoma, Oregon and Purdue.

Auburn's path the hardest!?! The more I look at Virginia's path though, the more complicated it looks.

Anyways, congratulations to all 4 teams and thank you for totally destroying my horrible bracket!

Virginia did not play any other No. 1 or No. 2 seed. That is lucky.

I liked Virginia better when they were getting spanked by UMBC.

Your argument is that Virginia was lucky to play Purdue instead of the Tennessee team that Purdue beat? Or lucky to play Auburn instead of the #1 seed that Auburn beat by 17 points? Or lucky to play TTU instead of the #2 seed TTU beat by 10 points? No. The teams that UVa beat proved to be better than the higher seeds.

Let's wait until all of the shoe company investigations are in before declaring clean and unclean. We've only gotten started in getting to the nitty gritty of what everyone in the loop from reporters to players already knows is a very very dirty institution that we call college basketball.
