What is that area near the scoreboard at the bottom? Handicapped area?

Yep. Part of the ADA seating.

RE: NEW stadium construction
Anyone know what the material is they are laying over the seat risers on the north east corner? Seems like a long process, veryslow progress

Ya, it's going to be super loud when everyone gets going.

RE: NEW stadium construction
I was curious about the size of the new stadium compared to the old so I overlayed some of the newest images from the cameras on the oldest images.

Visitor Side: Not much taller but it is closer to the field and the corners will be filled in.

Home Side: Doesn't work as well because most of the seating section frames have not been installed yet. You can definitely tell how much taller the press box is compared to the old stadium though.

RE: NEW stadium construction
I mentioned on the 29th that it seems to be taking a long time to install the sub floor in the north east corner. Just realized what's in place is actually the finished product. Aluminum bench with seat back. That whole section will be bench seating.

Just noticed that you can overlay within the construction camera viewer. Once you click the view you want click the little box and do split screen or overlay and then pick the 2 dates you want to compare. Its pretty cool.

RE: NEW stadium construction
The projected capacity for this rebuild is 22k or so? What are the possibilities for expansion? I have never seen any drawings that show expansion for this version of stadium beyond this current build.

Each tower will be 95 ft tall. That's taller than I thought. Has anyone been over to the site to see how big it is in person?

The thing that looked like a "crack" or "adhesive" or whatever is now gone from the tower.

I was over there a couple weeks ago. You can see the towers clearly from Hampton Blvd. Once the press box is added I think it will look fairly impressive. Much more visible than old FF.

Looks a little flimsy from afar. Maybe more substantial in person.

Nice! Going to look like big boy football finally. Albeit total capacity will be less than we all would like to see, progress is being made.

I would have loved to have had a sound engineer or someone with a decibel meter get a read in the old stadium vs new and how much more noise is held w/ the expansion.

Agreed, I am very excited for Phase 1. But I will really be happy when we have a completed north endzone, new scoreboard and east upper deck with total capacity of 30,000-35,000. Then we will be at big boy football.
