There are reports coming out of Fayetteville this morning that the UA-F is shutting down their whole athletic department because of this loss. Apparently all their fears are coming true that a loss to an inferior instate school would cause their mighty program to fold. It’s been heard on the streets fans of said formerly famous and untouchable athletic dept. are mumbling under their breath “see I told you so”.

In other news in NW AR there was a minor earthquake recorded by the USGS in the area presumably because Frank Broyles turned over in his grave.

Very nice Little Rock!!!! That was a pleasure to watch unfold, especially toward the end. Arkansas fans were in total dismay.

Troy did their bit to destroy the SEC myth. Beat Alabama yesterday. Nice.

So first Arkansas baseball game vs. an in-state opponent in 97 years I read.

Looks like they play UAPB in 2 weeks also. What are the odds there's an in-state team on the schedule in 2020?

Too bad Sun Belt basketball isn't as good as baseball...

In reading the thread, it seems like everyone is questioning the scheduling rather than the ability of their coach to motivate. They claim that motivation is low against the in-state small schools while the opposing squad has it circled on their calendar. A true competitor, in a coach, would be able to fire up their squad each and every time they step onto the field.

I'd say 95% chance they play in-state.

They've been spending a bundle for mid-week games against teams that hurt their RPI.
