Someone on our board posted this morning Scott Cross (former UTA HC and current TCU asssistant) has been hired.

A popular college basketball coaching Twitter handle is reporting it's done. They have been pretty accurate. Great hire and I'm extremely happy for Coach Cross to be back on the sidelines. The fact that it will make things pretty awkward when he comes to Arlington is even better haha.

BTW if the UTA administration does not do a BIG tribute to him the first time he is in that arena, then we have a HUGE issue!!

I can't wait if this is all true. I just hope he can be successful recruiting in this area. I feel like he is only used to Texas.

I can't wait if this is all true. I just hope he can be successful recruiting in this area. I feel like he is only used to Texas.

If it is true that is definitely something that I am wondering about. I'm guessing he will need an assistant from the area to help with that. How far is Troy from Atlanta? I'd assume Atlanta is a gold mine for talent.

2.5-3 hrs... IIRC we havent really dipped into Atlanta. We have had some pretty good recruits out of S. Georgia, Montgomery, and Birmingham.

I like the hire if true. I was completely shocked that UTA fired him.

Honestly it would crack me up, but I think that would be the end of the line for our AD. You can run off the winningest coach in school history only to have him go to a conference member and take them to the promise Land and live that down.
