That's with Coach K running the team.
So the now the conversation shifts to comparisons with one of the biggest freaks in recent history (a Lebron type of player)?
Who's shifting?
You and 83's last two comparisons were extreme situations and outliers when trying to convey the talent > coaching mantra.
WhoseHouse also brought up an even better point that taking any team's best player away is gonna drastically cut down on their chances of advancing.
Not trying to argue but maybe this will prove our point better.
Zion is the best player in the game. K is the best coach in the game. Take Zion off the team and keep K, and they're just okay. Keep Zion on the team and replace K with his assistant, and Duke still wins the NC.
Point being players are way more important than the coach.
The last time Duke took K off the team, they missed the Dance and finished under .500. These programs don't win every year because of one player. Losing Zion for a few weekseconds disrupted their chemistry, nothing more.

That team took us to double overtime in Memphis. We told everyone they were good.

Auburn tried to give the game to NMSU multiple times. Aggies didn't want it. Unbelievable.

Games are Fixed, Auburn was handed that game at the end, the Zebras should have added 3 tenths of a second....

I know of two AAC teams that would have been good replacements for that shitshow that was Auburn/New Mexico St.
Lots of other weird games going on as well. Mich St is having issues, Florida St is having issues. Belmont is killing Maryland at the moment, but thats not that surprising.

they had an open look at the 3 to finish the game...they had an open layup they passed up on to tie ...they had 3 free throws to win it.. not sure how you can blame the zebras on that one

They also missed the foul on NMSt that resulted in a turnover that led to a 3 to get the game that close to begin with. Its kind of hard to miss that when the coach is yelling at his team to foul.
