Houston has outscored UConn 34-11 in the second half and it is 73-36.
Houston isn't getting any respect. They beat LSU and both losses are very close to good teams, yet they are talking about being a 3 seed. I think they are pretty motivated to dominate the AAC tourney and prove they deserve better.
I do think the committee might value them and their Net of 4 more than the bracketologists, so I think they get a 2 seed (Though I would argue they deserve a 1). They are legit and have everything you need to advance in March (Great guards, play great defense and can rebound).
I think they'll be a 2 seed as well. I'd be very surprised by a 3 seed. I don't think the commtitee will make them a 1, but they've got a sneakily good 1 seed argument.
Houston is #4 NET. They are 5-2 in Q1 games, 14-2 Q/Q2. Other poential 1 seed teams Include:
Virginia #1 NET, 12-2Q1, 17-2 Q1/Q2 (unimpeachable resume)
Gonzaga #2 NET, 4-3Q1, 10-3Q1/Q2
Duke #3 NET, 9-4 Q1, 15-5 Q1/Q2
UK #5 NET, 10-4Q1, 15-5Q1/Q2
TN #6 NET, 7-4Q1, 13-4Q1/Q2
UNC #7 NET, 10-5 Q1, 17-5 Q1/Q2
LSU #14 NET, 9-2 Q1, 16-5 Q1/Q2 (Lost to Houston)
